Tenancy Agreement Consultation
Your tenancy agreement is changing!Homes in Havering (HiH) wants to hear tenants views on proposals to bring their tenancy agreement up to date. The tenancy agreement sets out the legal responsibilities of tenants and Havering Council as landlord and HiH as managers of the council's homes. Now, on behalf of the council and more than 12 years since the last review, Homes in Havering is assessing the tenancy agreement to: Make sure it is fair and treats everyone equally Is easy to read and understand Reflects good practice Covers the relevant and most important housing issues of modern, everyday life. After taking all of these factors into account, HiH has produced a revised tenancy agreement and we are seeking your views on the proposed changes. Homes in Havering is consulting widely on the changes proposed which it has publicised through At The Heart, HiH's website, media and publicity. We are holding drop-in sessions in July and August where you can find out more and share your views. It is vital that we hear and record your views on these proposals so we can seek the council's authority to make any changes before your new tenancy agreement comes into effect on 1 April 2011. Please tell us what you think by completing the questionnaire and returning to us at the freepost address provided (no stamp needed). Homes in Havering also wants to hear residents views on which of our services you would like our performance measured by. For further information and the opportunity to have your say attend the drop-in sessions. Below are links to the proposed tenancy agreement changes and also to the list of venues where consultation on the proposed changes will take place.
